✨The hotel features classic Japanese design to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional guesthouse, complementing the surrounding temples and Zen gardens. The tranquil and peaceful environment in the mountains is captivating, allowing guests to fully appreciate the beauty of Kyoto. ✨Service: The check-in experience was not satisfactory. Guests are required to provide the reservation name and number, and even show their passport. This process was unfamiliar and uncomfortable. As a global guest, I did not receive any special treatment or surprises, such as room upgrades or welcome gifts. I only received a bunch of grapes as a "gift," which was disappointing. ✨Appearance: In one word, stunning. Designed by Tony Chi, the hotel exudes a sense of sophistication. The overall design of the hotel fulfills all expectations of Japanese design. The view from the bar on the 4th floor is also one of the best in Kyoto. The public areas are incredibly beautiful! ✨Room: The room is beautiful, and the city view is amazing. It was refreshing to enter the room. However, the room was smaller than expected, especially the bathroom. But I always feel that a large bathroom is unnecessary, so I didn't mind. However, the minibar is charged, and fruits are only provided on the first day, which I don't understand. ✨Facilities: There is no swimming pool or garden, which is a bit disappointing, especially the lack of a garden. The courtyard of the nearby Kyoto University is beautiful, but it is not directly accessible from the hotel.
