#lakes During my summer vacation, I spent some time at Loch Eriboll in the Scottish Highlands, and it was an absolute gem. Nestled in the far north of Scotland, this stunning loch offers a serene and picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Best of all, there’s no entrance fee—just the cost of getting there and perhaps a few small expenses for parking or local amenities. 🌊🏞️ The loch’s remote location means it’s a perfect spot for tranquility and nature lovers. The views of the surrounding mountains and the expansive waters are breathtaking. I spent a wonderful day walking along the shore, taking in the fresh Highland air, and enjoying the peace and quiet. Nearby, the small village of Durness is charming and offers a few local cafes and shops. It’s also worth checking out the nearby Smoo Cave, a dramatic sea cave with fascinating rock formations and waterfalls.
