A wander to nature, Mangrove River at Kilim Geoforest Park

#closetonature #100waysoftravel We were having our vacation at Langkawi and make a day tour to Kilim Geoforest Park. First we will need to gather at Tanjung Rhu Jetty at 2pm, so we arrived early to have our quick lunch there, and make our way to the jetty at 1.50pm. They brought us to rhe speedboat and we slowly made our way deep into the mangrove forest. The mangrove forest spans a total area of 100km2, which is an ancient geoforest heritage which is almost 500 million years old!!! Deep down while crusing thru the valley and rivers, we get to see many monkeys in the mangrove jungle and we moved through our way to the open seas. It is alsopart of the UNESCO Network of Global Geoparks in Langkawi. We were also brought to the bat caves to see them hanging on top sleeping. The whole tour tool 2.5 hours and we had a great time, and it is recommended to all who visits Langkawi.
