Off-Season Gansu Non-Self-Driving Seven-Day Six-Night Experience | Lanzhou Chapter

Almost all the tourists I met on this trip were going in the opposite direction, but I think Lanzhou is very suitable as the last stop for rest after a long journey. Day5 Zhangye-Dunhuang🚝 This section passes through the Qilian Mountains, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful! (p2-4) The whole way is just passing through tunnels, and at one point in Qinghai, there was no signal reception, and I even felt a faint suspicion of altitude sickness. 📍Lanzhou University 👸🏻Number: Safe Lanzhou University, after successful reservation, you can swipe your ID card to visit this prestigious old school. The main campus is very small, and it didn't take long to tour around. 📍Zhongshan Bridge It is a must-visit landmark in Lanzhou. There are many tourists taking photos and checking in on both sides of the Yellow River, and there are tea houses for drinking Sanpaotai, as well as speedboats, cruise ships, and sheepskin rafts to experience. 📍Baita Mountain Park On the north bank of the Yellow River past Zhongshan Bridge, you can take a cable car up the mountain before 6 pm. The night view taken here (p11) doesn't seem to match the grand name of 'Lanhattan', but after reading local reviews, I learned that Lanshan offers a better view. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to go there, but friends who want to enjoy the night view can try Lanshan. Day6 📍Gansu Museum If you're tired, you can sit in the museum's cafe, with Blue Lotus cake and Galloping Horse coffee, very cute! There is a cultural and creative store at the first-floor exit, and the cultural and creative products of Gansu Museum are quite good, with bookmarks, fridge magnets, and coin purses all worth buying. 📍Waterwheel Expo Park + Reader's Mansion You can walk along the Waterwheel Expo Park to Reader's Avenue, and if the timing is right, you can visit the Reader's Museum. Even if it's closed, you can still take pictures and check in the yard. Every reader who comes here would probably want to leave a memory. Day7 Lanzhou-Shanghai✈️ 🏨 Near Dongfanghong Square Lanzhou has a subway, so it's convenient to stay near a subway station. 🍜Dining (Any) Beef Noodle I would directly ask for 'second fine' and add beef (p15), which tastes different from the Lanzhou noodles outside. Big Beard BBQ (p16) I ate it casually after visiting the Gansu Museum, it's affordable, and the lamb noodle slices are 👍🏻 Fang Ha The reputation of Sweet Pea Milk Tea is well-deserved! I ordered normal sugar with less ice, and it was refreshingly just right! It's a pity I only drank it once. Jiangshui Yogurt Bought at Zhongchuan Airport, indeed as said online, it beats all the yogurts I've had before. Seeing that 🍑 Manor Ranch flagship store sells it, I'm ready to rush for it! 🚘Transportation As the provincial capital, Lanzhou's transportation is quite convenient. However, bus drivers are very impatient, closing the doors without waiting for passengers to get off. In addition, there are a huge number of pedestrian overpasses in Lanzhou, and many subway exits don't have elevators, only stairs, which is very unfriendly to people with mobility issues. I witnessed an elderly person with a cane struggling to exit the subway station step by step. Zhongchuan Airport is very far from the city center. It is recommended to take the intercity train from Lanzhou Station or Lanzhou West, which is direct and not congested. In conclusion: Gansu is a place that combines scenery, culture, and cuisine. Although this trip was tiring, it gave me many beautiful memories. Gansu is no longer just 'Lanzhou Noodles' in my heart. Seeing is believing, and traveling thousands of miles is better than reading thousands of books. This is the meaning of travel, isn't it?~
