Chengdu to Leshan: A Day Trip of Big Buddha and Delicious Food

"The joy in Leshan is the joy of happiness." ⇣ 🚄Chengdu East Station→Leshan Station Departure at 9 AM 🚄Leshan Station→Chengdu East Station Return at 7 PM The journey takes about 50 minutes, with a ticket price of 54 yuan 🚖City Transportation Taxi prices are cheap, and you can basically get anywhere by taxi - ◾️ One-Day Itinerary Leshan Station→Jiaxing Road Food Street→Leshan Giant Buddha→Dongda Street Food→Hengdu Ferry Terminal→Shangzhongshun Commercial Street→Chengdu East Station - ▪️Ways to View the Giant Buddha: 80 yuan to see the head, 70 yuan to see the whole body, 0 yuan to see from a distance ①Climbing→Close-up view, offer incense at the temple, embrace the Buddha's head ②Boat Tour→Wuyou Temple Pier, saves time, allows viewing of the entire Buddha ③Free View→From the opposite bank of the river For first-timers, it's recommended to climb for a close-up view, Take a taxi to Leshan Giant Buddha Parking Lot No. 6 or take a bus to Guicheng Mountain, and follow the signs to the north gate of the scenic area (‼️Take the shortest route to the entrance) ⇣ It takes about 20 minutes from the north gate to the Buddha's head, where you can check in at the Buddha's head, ring the Buddha bell, and enjoy the view of the Minjiang River From the Buddha's head to the feet takes about 1-2 hours (non-holiday), depending on the crowd. I was lucky that day; it took less than an hour to reach the Buddha's feet. Looking up from below, it's truly spectacular‼️ ⏰ The total viewing time is about 2 hours - ◾️Wuyou Temple is just down from the south exit of the Giant Buddha ◾️Hengdu Ferry Terminal, a niche check-in spot, where the Buddha-viewing tower is also located "The food is in Sichuan, the flavor is in Leshan" Food is the main reason to visit Leshan, and I had 8 meals in one day! ⇣ ◾️Jiaxing Road Food: - Sister's Fancy Ice Jelly→Signature mother-in-law ice jelly, lots of ingredients, satisfying! Packed one to go on the return trip - Feng Si Niang's Tiptoe Beef→Large portions of beef, so delicious that you'll tiptoe with joy～Blood curd is highly recommended, super tender and tasty! The chili is very fragrant -Zhong Ji Sweet Skin Duck→Deservedly recommended by many friends, crispy and sweet, very delicious, finished half a duck with a crunch～Also brought two for a friend ⇣ ◾️Dongda Street Food: - Sister Hua's Chicken Feet→A small stall, with spicy pepper/ chopped pepper flavors, delicious but a bit spicy - Grandma Ye's Bobo Chicken→An old Leshan shop! Very tasty! The chili oil is not too spicy, and the key is it's very cheap! 0.8 yuan per skewer! - 99 Tofu Brain→Salty tofu pudding, thick and tastes like spicy soup - Haihuiyuan Shumai→Not my personal favorite, but many people in the store eat it - Qian Dehua's Traditional Rice Cake→Sticky sweet brown sugar rice cake, really delicious
