I wonder how the Giant Buddha is doing now?

The Leshan Giant Buddha is located in Leshan, Sichuan Province, on the cliff of Mount Lingyun, where the Min River, Dadu River, and Qingyi River converge.  Construction began in the early years of the Kaiyuan era of the Tang dynasty (713 AD), initiated by the monk Haitong. After Haitong passed away, the project was interrupted for a time. Later, Zhangqiu Jianqiong and Wei Gao continued the project, and it was finally completed in the 19th year of the Zhenyuan era of the Tang dynasty (803 AD), taking about 90 years in total. It is the world's largest stone-carved seated Maitreya Buddha statue, with a total height of 71 meters. The head is 14.7 meters high and 10 meters wide, with 1,051 hair buns, and the ears are 7 meters long. The statue is carved into the mountain, sitting precariously by the river. The statue is finely carved, with harmonious proportions and smooth lines.
