Lijiang Two Days and One Night Drinking tea, visiting Mu's Residence, climbing the Snow Mountain

Accommodation: Not too fond of the hustle and bustle of Lijiang Old Town, so I chose the quieter and more quaint Shuhe Ancient Town Itinerary: 1. Stroll around Shuhe Ancient Town, find a pleasing tea house to have some tea when tired, chat with the owner about local customs, and then buy a cake of Pu'er tea. 2. Mu's Residence in Lijiang, the mansion of the Mu family who ruled Lijiang for generations. The architecture is exquisite and spectacular, and it is considered a landmark of Lijiang. There is free interpretation in the scenic area, and once a certain number of tourists arrive, an explanation will be given. The interpreters are mostly Naxi women, as Naxi families rely on women as the main labor force. The local saying goes, 'A world of women, a paradise for men.' Climbing to the highest point of Mu's Residence offers an overview of Lijiang. tips: If you go to Lion Mountain, it's best to visit Mu's Residence before 4 pm, as you can go directly from there. If it's later, you'll have to take a long detour. 3. Blue Moon Valley, the lake water is blue and clear, and the valley is crescent-shaped, looking like a blue moon embedded at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from a distance. Blue Moon Valley consists of four lakes: Yuye Lake - Mirror Pond Lake - Blue Moon Lake - Tingtao Lake. It takes about half an hour to visit, with Yuye Lake being the bluest and most beautiful. tips: The altitude of Blue Moon Valley is 3300 meters. Although high altitude sickness is not common, if you feel unwell, consider taking the Spruce Meadow (small cable car) at 3240 meters or the Yak Meadow (medium cable car) at 3700 meters. 4. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, known as 'Oulu' in Naxi language, meaning 'Mountain of Heaven'. There are thirteen continuous snow peaks, resembling a 'giant dragon', which is said to be the incarnation of the Naxi protective god 'Sanduo' and is sacred to the Naxi people. The cable car only reaches 4506 meters on the snow mountain, but if you have enough energy, you can aim for 4680 meters. Standing on the snow mountain is truly breathtaking, marveling at the grandeur of nature, healing everything. tips: Before going up the snow mountain, you can buy oxygen bottles in the old town for about 20 yuan each, while on the mountain they cost 60 yuan. Generally, two bottles are enough. Down jackets are also available for rent on the mountain.
