In the fiery November, I settled by the mountain stream in Lijiang.

November in Lijiang feels like a colorful painting. The tranquility of the off-season makes this ancient city poetically enchanting. In the early morning, I strolled along the cobblestone streets of Lijiang Old Town, with a light mist hanging in the air, carrying a fresh scent. The small shops on both sides of the street were just opening, and the dim lights exuded a touch of warmth. The busy figures of the shop owners added a bit of vitality to the ancient city. Resting in a guesthouse by the mountain stream, I opened the window to see the clear Yulong River in the distance. The water from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain sparkled brilliantly under the sunlight. Every corner here is filled with the breath of nature, as if I were in a paradise. The owner of the guesthouse is a warm-hearted Naxi elder who told me about the history and culture of Lijiang in fluent Mandarin. Listening to his stories, I felt as if I had traveled through time, back to the days of the Tea Horse Road. During my stay in Lijiang, I also watched the performance of 'Lijiang Eternal Love,' a visual and auditory feast that condensed a thousand years of Lijiang's history and culture. On stage, the actors used captivating dance and song to recreate the prosperity and splendor of the Tea Horse Road, making one marvel at the passage of time and the weight of history. As night fell, the lights of the ancient city gradually lit up, and the streets were filled with shadows, each seemingly telling a moving story. Here, time seemed to slow down, and my soul found unprecedented peace. November in Lijiang, though lacking the blooming flowers of spring, has a unique tranquility and beauty that makes one linger. November marks the end of golden autumn and the first hint of winter's chill. In this special month, nature's colors are ever-changing, and the mountains and lakes all show signs of autumn. The fiery red maple leaves cover the sky; between the mountains and flowing water, clouds and mist swirl, like a fairyland. And Lijiang is the perfect representation of this season. The guesthouse by the mountain stream is serene and elegant, like a fairyland in a painting. Here, I felt the wonders of nature and experienced the beauty of peaceful times.
