By merging the six fragrant springs of the heavenly palace with the six white springs of the mortal world, the people who drank this blended water would not only become fair and tender, but their bodies would also emit a fragrant scent. The immortals asked the Thunder God and the Lightning Goddess to turn the six fragrant springs into rainwater and descend it onto Niuling. The six fragrant springs merged with the six white springs beneath Niuling, and now the time has come, the task of opening the Perfume Spring was entrusted to her. As long as she could remove the six agarwood trees sealing the spring's mouth, the people would be able to drink from the celestial spring. Upon waking, Ah Xiang took up her hoe and went to Niuling to dig up the agarwood trees. When she dug up the sixty-sixth agarwood tree, a fragrant clear spring gushed out from the ground. At that moment, the immortals arrived at Niuling on auspicious clouds, and they transformed a large lake on Niuling, where the six fragrant springs converged. This lake was later called 'Perfume Lake'. Perfume Lake is close to the sea, and the lake water seeps into the sea, making the water in this bay fragrant as well, hence the name 'Perfume Bay'. Stepping on the fine and soft sand of the beach, unlike other beaches, the sand of Perfume Bay makes a 'giggle' sound to welcome the sweet arrival. It is said that because the waves continuously polish the sand here, the sand is fine, and the grains are of high quality.
