Ziyang Street at night is even more charming than during the day

Located in Linhai, Taizhou, Ziyang Street is a historic and culturally significant street in China, formed during the Tang and Song dynasties. It was once one of the most prosperous streets in the Taizhou prefecture city. Most notably, Ziyang Street still retains the layout characteristics of the neighborhood system from the Northern Song Dynasty. Ziyang Street was also rated as the most beautiful ancient city in China by National Geographic. From the map, Ziyang Ancient Street runs north-south. An ancient bluestone road carries a heavy historical atmosphere, having been weathered and worn over thousands of years; most of the ancient buildings on both sides are from the Ming and Qing dynasties, with some remnants of the Song Dynasty. They still maintain the layout of 'shops in the front, workshops in the back,' preserving the unique ancient charm of Jiangnan. Ziyang Street is called a 'living thousand-year-old street,' and this is no exaggeration. Tens of thousands of original residents still live nearby, continuing the traditional neighborhood lifestyle.
