Rainbow Mountains!

These rainbow land formations are found from Asia to South America, but they forever feel unique. My first visit, I was slightly apprehensive because of reports of them being "underwhelming" for other less impressed travelers. When I arrived, I was mesmerized by the sheer greatness and beauty of the place. I've never seen anything like it in my entire life. The varying shades of red, interspersed with yellows, greens, pinks and whites is truly beautiful. The land formation was made when the rock was compressed by a large lake that has since dried up, so not only is it beautiful but I also learnt some of the prehuman history of the area. I took a didi from the city, which was fairly easy, and then it's a short bus ride. Although there wasn't much to eat (I suggest you take a picnic), I was too stunned to think much about food, which is truly saying something! #naturalwonders#deserts#hiking
