Ye City Museum

Visit the Ye City Museum in Linzhang. Inside the gate is a six-sided bas-relief wall made of yellow sandstone, which displays important historical figures and events related to the ancient capital of Ye City in the six dynasties of Cao Wei, Shi Hu, Ran Min, Murong Sanjie, Dong Wei Gao Huan, and Bei Qi Gao Yang. On the east and west sides, there are two Han-style pavilions about 11 meters high. The Ye City Museum adopts the architectural style of the Han Dynasty, covering an area of 65 acres and a building area of 5,228 square meters. The content of the six idiom landscape columns in front of the museum is "Stealing the symbol to save Zhao", "Cao Chong weighs the elephant", "Writing a chapter", "Wen Ji returns to Han", "Quick knife cuts mess", and "Empty city plan". The story shows the long history and profound cultural heritage of Ye City. Linzhang, known as the "Three Kingdoms, Six Dynasties Ancient Capital", has successively become the capital of the six dynasties of Cao Wei, Later Zhao, Ran Wei, Former Yan, Eastern Wei, and Northern Qi. The Ye Beicheng built during the Cao Wei period pioneered the "central axis symmetry, zoning layout", and is now the only site in the country that has not been suppressed by modern metropolises. It is a research base for ancient cities in the country and even East Asia.
