Erlang Temple - Litang County

Erlang Temple is located in Litang County near the Benge township on the 217 National Highway between Litang and Doacheng. The temple is very old, small and remote but very peaceful. We were lucky enough to talk with the resident monk who had lived there for many years and showed us the inside of the temple where he lives. Alongside the temple is a small mountain which visitors can walk up. The path is a very well maintained boardwalk and the only challenge visitors might face is the altitude as the temple sits around 4000m in altitude. When sitting on top of the mountain, it is absolutely silent.
