Liuzhou: A Culinary Adventure (Food Recommendations)

After spending three days in Liuzhou, I realized that this place is a foodie's paradise. Even a 2TB stomach wouldn't be enough to try everything! 😎 Check out the guide I made (second picture). The blue boxes are the things I didn't have time to try. The recommendations below are based on my personal experience. I have a strong taste preference, like sticky foods, and don't like overly sweet things. This is just for reference, not an ad! If you don't believe me, just take it as a joke and don't criticize me. 🧐 First up is DimDouDuck! Their rice cakes are like New Year cakes, brushed with sweet sauce, and the duck leg is also sweet and chewy. I'm usually a spice lover, but I was won over by this flavor. 😍 You must try Weiwei's cassava soup! I compared the original cassava soup from Zhang Fei, Weiwei, and Xiaoyuan Luosifen, and Weiwei's is my favorite. The cassava is soft and sticky, with very few root fibers, and the texture is amazing. I even packed some to go. 🤩 Rongan Xinglong's filtered noodles are a bit like dry noodles, but the taste is amazing! The marinade is delicious, and the unique flavor is unforgettable. 🤗 If you want corn juice and don't see Zhang Ji, you can try Xiong Ji Corn Juice. The taste is rich with corn aroma, made from sweet corn, and it's freshly squeezed. 😋 The noodles at the old noodle shop are sweet and sour, with lots of meat. I bought the cold noodles, not sure if it's considered hot noodles, but the homemade chive sauce is a bit bitter, so be careful when eating. 😜 Abin's Tung Oil Shop has a unique sweet and sour fruit sauce. The half-cooked raw beef is amazing, juicy, and feels like it bursts in your mouth! But the other dishes are more ordinary, like the eggplant, which I didn't like because it was overcooked and a bit bitter. 😕 Jindi's stir-fried duck feet and stir-fried luosifen are amazing! So delicious that I wanted to pack some to go, but unfortunately, they only open at night, and I didn't have time. The Feifei sugar water at the door is too sweet for me. 😒 Ye Ji's beef tripe is sour and spicy, with a good texture for all kinds of beef offal. I couldn't eat much at the time, but I ordered a few kinds and found them delicious. 😃 Tianshan's beef offal is recommended by local friends. The cold beef offal and sour soup pot beef offal are both delicious and won't disappoint! But their cold dishes and hot pot start at 80, so it's best to go with a group or share. 🤔 Aunt Si's taro dumplings are delicious, but the radish ones are average and sour. Their puffs are best eaten fresh, with a cool filling and great texture! 😎 I tried the soup luosifen from Alex and Xiaoyuan, both spicy and tasty. Spice lovers should give it a try. 😏 Also, Ama's handmade products use high-quality ingredients. I tried the rice mochi, and locals say you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It really has glutinous rice in it. 😉
