#londontrip #summervacation #europetrip #trip #london #uk #holiday I recently returned from a 20-day trip to London, and I'm still reeling from the experience. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. The city's iconic landmarks, world-class museums, and vibrant culture made me feel like I was in the heart of Europe. My trip began with a flight from Singapore to Heathrow Airport, which cost me around $600. After arriving, I took the Tube (London's metro system) to my hotel in Covent Garden, which cost around $10. My hotel was centrally located, making it easy to explore the city. For the next few days, I explored the city using the efficient public transportation system, which cost around $3 per ride. Here are some of the top places I visited: - Buckingham Palace: $30 entrance fee (I watched the Changing of the Guard ceremony) - The British Museum: free entrance, but donations welcome (I spent hours exploring the ancient artifacts) - The National Gallery: free entrance, but guided tours cost $20 (I saw works by Van Gogh, Monet, and Leonardo da Vinci) - The Tower of London: $25 entrance fee (I saw the Crown Jewels and the Yeoman Warders) - Westminster Abbey: $20 entrance fee (I attended a service and saw the graves of famous Britons) - Camden Market: free entrance, but shopping and food were a must-experience (I tried traditional British street food) I also took a day trip to Oxford, which cost around $50 for a return train ticket. I visited the famous University of Oxford and saw the iconic Bodleian Library. The food in London was incredible, and I had some of the best meals of my life. A traditional English breakfast at a local café cost around $15, while a Michelin-starred dinner cost around $100. I also tried fish and chips, bangers and mash, and a full English tea. Here's a breakdown of my expenses: - Flights: $600 - Train fare: $100 - Accommodation (7 nights): $1,000 - Food and drink: $600 - Transportation (Tube, etc.): $50 - Activities and entrance fees: $250 - Total: $2,600 I would highly recommend London to anyone looking for a cultural and historical experience. The city has something for everyone, and I can't wait to go back." #summerdestinations #londontrips
