The UK's First Chanel Exhibition: A Taste of French Classic Design

This is the first exhibition in the UK dedicated to showcasing the works of French women's fashion designer Gabrielle Chanel, comprehensively presenting the establishment process of the CHANEL brand and the evolution of its iconic design style. The exhibition introduces the history of Gabrielle Chanel in the form of a timeline: from her birth in 1883 in a poor family in a small French town, to becoming the lover of Étienne Balsan at the age of 23 and moving to a royal castle, then starting to sell women's hats in 1910, and finally launching a luxurious casual wear series in 1913.
