Great Spots for a Self-Drive Tour in Guangzhou - Nankun Mountain

If you have limited weekend holidays but still want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city🌆, Nankun Mountain is a great choice! It's a 1.5-2 hour drive from Guangzhou🚘. 🏡Accommodation: We chose a hot spring pool villa located in Nankun Mountain, a secluded single-family villa🏡 hidden in the quiet mountains! The room type we booked was a five-bedroom with 8-9 beds (accommodates 12-15 people) featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, a small balcony, and an en-suite bathroom🚿 with 24-hour hot water. Parking🅿️ is convenient as well; you can drive directly into the villa to park. There's also a large courtyard garden with a hot spring pool. The homestay has a kitchen where you can cook for yourself🍳 or ask the manager to recommend delicious farmhouses. If you like roasted lamb, you can also book a whole lamb in advance with the owner! 🪁Activities: The area is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, known as the 'Southern China's Oxygen Bar' and 'Cool Paradise in the South.' It's lush and green all year round, with spring flower viewing🌸, summer stream trekking🏞, autumn forest sightseeing🌳, and winter hot springs♨️. There are also many activities nearby: fruit picking, mountain off-road vehicles, thrilling go-karting, kayaking, Nankun Mountain Forest Park, hot springs, and more! This time we went for an off-road vehicle adventure on a mountain obstacle course🚙, which took about an hour and included flat, winding, steep, and muddy paths. Friends with myopia are advised to wear contact lenses, as the helmets for biking are very enclosing and not convenient for wearing glasses. Although disposable raincoats and rider suits are provided, it's still best to bring an extra set of clothes to change into.
