Liyue Ancient Town

Liyue Ancient Town is part of the Miao Autonomous Prefecture's Longshan County and is one of the four famous towns in Western Hunan. The You River flows by its side, and the ancient town is world-renowned for the discovery of over 30,000 bamboo slips from the Qin Dynasty (the Liyue Qin Slips) in an ancient well. These slips have filled a gap in the historical materials from the Qin period and have been acclaimed by experts as 'the Terracotta Warriors in the north, the Liyue Qin Slips in the south.' The state has specially built a museum next to the ancient town, and upon close examination, the text on the Qin slips can be understood.
