Among them are the clear bi-color topaz-The Ukrainian flag, the nearly perfect emerald-The crown of Columbia, the spectacular royal blue sapphire-The healing blue, and the multicolored transparent tourmaline. The colorful tourmalines include the deep red rubellite-The scarlet red, the vibrant Paraíba-The magnificent, and the exquisitely cut 111-carat green tourmaline-The Imperial. The highlight of the exhibit is the Jonker I Diamond, which is the largest diamond cut from the Jonker Diamond. Discovered in 1934, the Jonker Diamond was the fourth largest diamond in the world at the time, weighing 125 carats and is one of the largest cut diamonds in the world. This historic gem has passed through the hands of royalty and Hollywood stars around the world. In addition to the large carat gems on display, other regular exhibits at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum are also well worth a visit, as mentioned in previous notes.
