Imagine soaking in a steaming natural hot spring in the cold winter with snow flying all over the sky, looking at the snow-capped King of Shu Mountains, Gongga Mountain, in the distance. It is so romantic. Unfortunately, the earthquake in 2022 destroyed the hot spring with the best view in Hailuogou, the No. 2 Camp, and it has not yet been restored. It was a coincidence that I stayed at this homestay this time. I originally made an appointment with a friend to climb Longhua Mountain, but the elders in my family also wanted to join us for the climb, so the accommodation could not be compromised. After careful selection, I finally decided on Lanshan Baiyunli. Facts have proved that the choice is very correct. The homestay is in a superior location, located halfway up the mountain near Moxi Ancient Town. On a clear day, you can see the east slope of Gongga Mountain, the 6,000-meter-high Jinyin Mountain, and the Great Icefall. In autumn and winter, you are likely to see the golden mountain at sunrise. The hot spring in the homestay is also directly drawn from the source of natural hot spring water, not a fake hot spring heated by a boiler. It has a faint smell of sulfur. When the housekeeper was filling the water, I saw that the water temperature was 48 degrees. The homestay has only 8 rooms in total, and we booked the whole place this weekend. The owner said that after opening in 2019, the pandemic and then the earthquake hit, so the occupancy rate has not been high, so the facilities are still quite new. If I have to pick a fault, the road up the mountain is very narrow and quite bad, which is a bit difficult for those with poor driving skills. The food in the homestay is also relatively simple. Breakfast is a Chinese set meal with porridge, steamed buns, and fried eggs. Dinner only has yak hot pot and mushroom chicken soup, and the price is slightly expensive. Overall, it is a good choice to bring family and puppies here for the weekend, and the elders are also very satisfied. I should come again when it snows in winter~
