1. Yema Haizi Introduction Yema Haizi is located near Kangding Yajiageng. It is a small, pristine, and secluded area known for its natural scenery, including snow-capped mountains, seas of clouds, sunrises, starry skies, and blue ice. You can see Gongga Mountain from here. The scenery is stunning, with the golden mountain, sea of clouds, ice lake, and snow-capped mountains all blending together. It is a must-see place for a relaxing hike. 2. Transportation Guide • Self-driving: Depart from Chengdu. The entire route is on good roads. Navigate to "Xuemengkan" in Luding County. If there is no traffic, it takes about 4–5 hours to drive from Chengdu. • Public transportation: You can choose a tour group departing from Chengdu, which usually includes round-trip transportation from Chengdu. 3. Itinerary • 1.5-day itinerary: • Day 1: Depart from Chengdu in the afternoon. It takes about 3.5 hours to reach Kangding City. You can visit Kangding City, enjoy Tibetan food, and dance the Guozhuang dance in the evening. • Day 2: Depart from the hotel at 5 am. It takes about 1 hour to reach Xuemengkan. Park the car and hike for 40 minutes to the ridge to wait for the sunrise. After watching the sunrise, you can continue to the top of the mountain. It takes about 1 hour to reach the lake, where you can have fun and take photos. 1.5 hours is enough. Start your return journey at about 10:30 am. You should be back in the car by 12:30 pm at the latest. You can have a good lunch in Kangding before returning to Chengdu. You are expected to arrive in Chengdu at 5 pm. • 2-day itinerary: • Day 1: Depart from Chengdu via Tianquan and Luding. It takes about 4.5 hours to reach the hotel in Kangding at 6 pm. Free time in the evening. • Day 2: Get up at 6 am and depart for Xuemengkan Pass at 6:30 am. Hike 3 km to Yema Haizi. Take photos and explore the winter secrets of western Sichuan. Start your descent back to the starting point at about 10:30 am, then take a car back to Chengdu. You are expected to arrive in Chengdu at about 8:30 pm. 4.
