Macau City Guide: The refreshing and artistic Taipa Village with its Portuguese Charm

Macau is a city well-suited for CityWalks, and the Portuguese Charm of Taipa Village is one of the eight scenic spots in Macau. It used to be the residence of high-ranking officials on the islands and also the family homes of the Macanese, with its mint green color being very refreshing. The transformed museum houses a collection of distinctive furniture from the late 19th century. Being there, one can relive the domestic life of the Macanese in the early 20th century. By the lake, the row of five houses looks particularly attractive, with the innermost one being the most appealing. Surrounding the area are ancient banyan trees and charming hand-painted walls. Next to it is the St. Francis Xavier's Church, and nearby Rua do Cunha is a famous food street in Macau, offering many local snacks and Michelin-starred cuisine.
