Water Charm and Flowing Light: A Stroll Through the Longhuan Wetland

Early in the morning, I wandered through the Longhuan Wetland Ecological Zone. The hazy morning light cast a golden mist over the water, making the entire wetland look like a poetic and picturesque scene. This ecological treasure, located in Cotai and adjacent to the Portuguese-style architecture, perfectly combines nature and culture, resembling a serene painting. Walking along the winding wooden boardwalk, the fresh scent of the wetland greeted me, accompanied by the gentle sounds of water and birdsong. In the ponds, lotus leaves swayed gently, waterfowl stood still, and occasionally a white egret would gracefully fly by, breaking the tranquility of the scene. Being here, it felt as if even my breathing was harmonized into a gentle rhythm. The interpretive signs in the wetland detailed its ecological value and conservation efforts, making one deeply appreciate the preciousness and fragility of nature. In the distance, the five pastel-colored villas of the Portuguese-style architecture echoed the tranquility of the wetland, telling a beautiful story of the intertwining of time and nature. As I left, I looked back at this lush green land, feeling immense gratitude. The Longhuan Wetland is undoubtedly a place of tranquility that soothes the soul amidst the bustling city.
