🏨✨ Crowne Plaza Madrid Airport - IHG 📍Address: C/lola Flores, Madrid, Spain My stay in Madrid was a bit complicated. The Crowne Plaza Hotel is located near Madrid Airport, which is convenient, about a 15-minute drive from the airport. The hotel also offers a shuttle service, but the frequency is not very high, and sometimes you have to wait a long time. The exterior and public areas of the hotel feel quite modern, and walking in gives a professional feel. The front desk check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and helpful, but sometimes they seemed a bit impatient when busy. The room experience was a bit disappointing. Although the overall decor is simple and modern, the bed is comfortable, and the room is clean, the bathroom layout is a bit odd, and the air conditioning system in the room failed several times. The room facilities basically meet the needs, with a separate shower, bathtub, and bidet, but the walk-in closet is a bit small. Overall, the room feels more like a Holiday Inn Express, which doesn't quite meet my expectations for a Crowne Plaza. The surrounding area is like a "desert," really remote. Besides the hotel's own dining facilities, there are almost no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. If you want to go out to buy something or eat, you usually need to call an Uber. However, the breakfast provided by the hotel is good, with a wide selection of buffet options after 7 am, including various European cold cuts and hot food. If you go a bit earlier, the European breakfast starting at 5 am is also filling. The hotel's gym is worth mentioning, with limited facilities, especially a lack of strength training equipment, but the cardio equipment is standard. During my two-night stay, I took the time to work out and shake off some of the travel fatigue. There are a few good restaurant options nearby, such as Kathmandu Tandoori House and Restaurante Jumbo, and the famous Johnny Rockets offers authentic American burgers. So, if you're driving or willing to take a car to the city, these places are worth checking out. In summary, the overall experience was average, but it didn't quite meet my expectations for the Crowne Plaza brand. If you're just staying overnight to catch an early flight, it's acceptable.
