Come to Songpinggou to see the red leaves this weekend! Here is a one-day round-trip guide!

The annual red leaf season is here again, so get out and enjoy the fresh air this weekend! 🚗 Transportation: Drive from Chengdu South Gate for about 5 hours ⏰ Itinerary: 8:00 Depart from Chengdu—Arrive at the scenic area around 13:00—18:00 Return when the sun sets—23:00 Arrive in Chengdu—23:00–02:00 Eat hot pot and get a foot massage (haha, this itinerary is for reference only) 🎫 Tickets: CNY 70 per person. You can take the scenic area shuttle bus for both trips, CNY 70 per person for a round trip, CNY 50 per person for a one-way trip. 👗 Clothing: Check the weather forecast before you go! (The forecast was accurate on the day we went.) It will be very hot when climbing the mountain in the sun, so a long-sleeved shirt is enough. A thin down jacket or a fleece hoodie is enough. It will be a little cold in the shade, so wear more clothes. ⚠️ Notes: 1. Be sure to eat at a restaurant on the side of the road before you reach the scenic area! (🥲 We didn't see any food in the scenic area, otherwise we would have been starving after climbing all afternoon.) 2. We were afraid of being tired from climbing uphill all the time because of the limited time, and the shuttle bus only stops at the top, so we chose to take the bus up and walk down. But ⚠️ if you have enough time and energy, we recommend walking up and taking the bus down, as the highlights are not far from the entrance! 3. If you have enough time, we recommend staying overnight. You can even go to Jiuzhaigou, which is only more than 100 km away.
