May Day with fewer people | Our romantic story belongs to the romantic coast of Maoming.

Due to my girlfriend's relatives holding a wedding banquet during the May Day holiday, we cannot travel far out of the province and can only do some nearby sightseeing within the province. One day in advance, I made a reservation for the hotel shuttle bus through the hotel phone ☎️. On May 2nd, I took the train to Maoming Station at 10 o'clock. There are still plenty of tickets available to Maoming, and you can ride all the way from Guangzhou to Maoming. The whole journey takes two and a half hours. However, there are not many places to eat near Maoming Railway Station, so I could only buy instant noodles at the convenience store to eat. Taking the hotel shuttle bus, it takes about an hour to arrive at the romantic coast of Maoming. Because the shuttle bus goes directly into the Romantic Coast International Tourist Resort, there is no need to buy tickets for the scenic area. The drop-off point is another five-star hotel inside the scenic area, Wyndham Hotel 🏨. Sheraton and Wyndham hotels are located in the same building, and you can reach the Sheraton Resort Hotel in Maoming Romantic Coast through the building corridor. 🏨 Hotel check-in is very convenient, and the equipment in the room is quite new and clean. The terrace is very large, where you can lie on a lounge chair and enjoy the breeze while watching the stars at night. Looking from the terrace, you can see the lobby entrance of the Wyndham Hotel and the coconut grove. After a slight adjustment, my girlfriend changed into her swimsuit and we went to the nearby beach to swim in the waves. The private beach in the scenic area is very large and there is no fishy smell. The sand is very white and fine, and it feels comfortable to step on, but it may be a bit dirty due to the influence of ocean currents. It looks fine from afar, but after actually swimming and washing our swimsuits twice, we still managed to dirty a white towel. Next to the water park, there is a church ⛪️ that is only available for taking wedding photos and holding weddings, and is not open to the public. However, you can still take photos at the entrance and in front of the church, but it's a bit difficult to find the right angle. Walking hand in hand on the not-so-crowded beach is such a romantic thing to do. There are also many facilities on the beach, such as love-shaped swings, suitable for couples to take photos. There are also activities such as beach buggies. Because the beach is located at the southernmost end of Maoming, with open space to the east and west, if you are lucky, you can see both sunrise and sunset. I forgot the time when watching the sunset. After washing up in the room, go downstairs to the seafood city for dinner. After dinner, the beach next to it starts singing and dancing performances. 💃 Tourists gather on the beach and are quite happy. After the performance, everyone gathers around the bonfire to watch the fire show, and then there are fireworks 🎆. With someone by your side, listening to the sound of the waves 🌊 and feeling the sea breeze, it's quite comfortable and romantic. Back in the room, you can soak in the bathtub 🛁, and the hotel has prepared bath salts in the vanity box. On the morning of May 3rd, we got up early and went to the restaurant on the 7th floor of the Sheraton Hotel 🏨 for breakfast. Next to the restaurant was an infinity pool 🏊. The restaurant had a relatively rich variety of dishes, including many local snacks that we had never seen in other hotels. The pool did not have a changing room, so we had to change clothes in the nearby restroom or in our own room. The scenery of the infinity pool was also quite good, and we could see the coastline 🏖️. There were not many people in the pool, so we could swim freely. Afterwards, we went to the hot spring ♨️ on the opposite side of the lobby on the first floor to relax. The hot spring had a changing room and a wristband to open the locker. The red wine pool 🍷 was especially unique because of its bright red color. We spent too much time soaking in the hot spring, but the hotel kindly extended our check-out time. Because I forgot to make a reservation for the shuttle bus to the station in advance, I ended up leaving by myself. Before leaving, I also visited another church poetry hall ⛪️ located at the edge of the scenic area, which was also very picturesque. On the way, I also met several newlyweds. Maybe because it was the last day of the holiday, there were not many people on the beach, and it really felt like a world of two people. Direction towards Maoming city center experienced some congestion, and had to stand on the high-speed rail back to Guangzhou due to lack of seating tickets. Overall, the entire journey was quite relaxing, free, and romantic.
