Marrakech Medina

The old town area of Marrakech Medina, or the Medina of Marrakech, has been an ancient capital of Islam since the 11th century and retains the original beauty of the Almoravide and Almohade dynasties to this day. You can freely plan a tour of the city, either walking on top of or below the Medina walls as you wish. In this area, there is also the famous market, Marrakech Souks, where you can stop by for some local souvenir shopping, similar to our JJ Market back home. Shops are divided into zones, selling everything from fresh food, handicrafts, clothing, soaps, tea sets, to various accessories for you to browse and shop at your leisure. The market is open from 10 in the morning until around 1 at night. If you're tired from walking, stop by a cafe, every shop is welcoming. If you want to take photos on the rooftop, you'll be surrounded by the warmth of the sun, the dense crowd, and the smoke from cigarettes. Bye!
