Jiaoling Longtan Temple & Longtan Waterfall

Jiaoling Longtan Temple and Longtan Waterfall are both located in Longtan Village, Lanfang Town, Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province. Longtan Temple • Long history: The temple was originally the Lanfang Baoqing Temple built in the Song Dynasty, more than 800 years ago. The eminent monk Puan once practiced here. • Architectural features: The temple is a typical Tang-style building. The murals on the inner and outer walls were painted using techniques from the Forbidden City. • Cultural activities: The temple is home to a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage "Zen Tea Ceremony" health base, and hosts beginner Zen Tea Ceremony classes, "Buddha Zen Seven" events, and more. Longtan Waterfall • Spectacular scenery: The waterfall cascades down from the 400-meter-high mountain top, with silver beads splashing into the pool below. The pool is as clear as a mirror, and you can see the fish swimming in it. The pool is surrounded by lush vegetation, and there is a dragon pavilion with flying eaves and upturned corners on the bank. • Travel experience: The waterfall is one of the new eight scenic spots in Jiaoling, as well as a natural oxygen bar and a health resort. In midsummer, the water flow is abundant, and people come here to swim, play in the water, and have picnics.
