#celebratewithtrip Milan Cathedral also known as Duomo di Milano in Italian, is a vast Gothic-styled cathedral located in the heart of Milan. It is 157 meters high 92 meters wide and houses up to 40000 people. It is located at Piazza del Duomo, the nearest metro station is Duomo ( Line 1 and 3 ). The rooftop terrace is practically as large as the cathedral, tourists can climb to the top or take a lift ( additional fee ) and walk along the terrace. The roof is reowned for the forest of openwork spires and pinnacles, a walk around here allows visitors to have a close-up view of some spectacular sculptures. On the highest spire of the temple is the Madonnina, a statue which become the symbol of Milan. Milan Cathedral is one of the most important attractions in Milan and is well worth visiting. Morever, climbing to the top of the rooftop terrace offers breath-taking views of the city.
