The History and Folk Museum

Address: Japan, 778-0204 Tokushima, Miyoshi, Higashiiyakyojo, 14-3. Getting there: You can take a bus and get off at the Kyojo bus stop. The museum is about 5 minutes walk from the bus stop. Highlights: The Higashi Iya History and Folk Museum is a small history museum at the entrance to Oku Iya. Inside you will find exhibits and displays of tools, household items, clothes and other traditional items. You will be able to gain valuable insight into the lives and culture of the people of the Iya Valley. Informative bilingual signs and long-form descriptions are also on hand in Japanese and English, allowing anyone to more deeply understand the wonderful presentations.
