Exploring Taishan Mountain, Shandong - n.6: Nantianmen Gate (South Gate to Heaven) 南天门 1460m asl to Jade Emperor Peak (Yuhuang Ding) 玉皇顶 1545m asl - Confucius Temple One the greatest spot on Taishan Mountain Top is the temple where Confucius was enshrined. Built in Ming Dynasty. Han Fuqu is author of the inscription of the top part of the gate. From the temple there’s a great view over the mountain top from Heavenly Street to Bixia Temple, from here you can also see Taian City just at the mountain foot.
