Upon pushing open the large wooden doors, you can see long lights cascading from the ceiling, illuminating the church all the way to the altar and the statue of Jesus nailed to the cross at the end. Unlike the ornate St. Michael's Church, the interior of Frauenkirche is simple, with slender white columns and neat, straight windows on both sides. Viktualienmarkt 🍖 The Viktualienmarkt, less than five minutes from Marienplatz, features over a hundred vendors selling a variety of fresh food and drink. Although it is a traditional market, it is clean and free from unpleasant smells. If you want to taste delicious German pig's feet and sausages or buy simple gifts for your family and friends, this is the place to visit! English Garden 🌳 The English Garden is one of the largest urban parks in Europe, larger than New York's famous Central Park, and a popular spot for Munich residents to relax, walk, bike ride, and enjoy family outings. The park features large expanses of turf where people often sunbathe in their bathing suits during the summer.
