The best panorama of the Munich old town

A real classic: The viewing platform on St. Peter's Church (called "Alter Peter" by Munich residents, which translates as "Old Peter"), is climbed daily by thousands of visitors from near and far. Through a narrow staircase, about 300 steps lead them higher and higher, until finally a fantastic view in all directions opens up. By far the most frequently photographed view is of course the Marienplatz panorama. Where else can you take pictures of the Frauenkirche and the town hall at the same time? And on a clear day, even the Olympic Tower peaks up in the background. You have to take a lift to reach the viewing platform. From Monday to Saturday a tower ascent is possible from 10 AM to 7 PM. On Sunday’s the latest time is 5 PM. Adults have to pay 4€, while the fee for children is 1€ and 3€ for students and seniors. How to get there: St. Peter is quite close to the Marienplatz, so the best way to get there is to take the S-Trains or one of the subways to ‘Marienplatz’. From here it is less than 2 minutes #bucketlistreboot

Oktoberfest is the famous beer festival being hosted in Munich. After two years of absence, a lot of people were waiting for it and flying in to be part of it. The main part if of course the famous 1 liter beer with music, Bavarian sausage & cheese board, grilled chicken, pretzels and Kaiserschmann. But also the theme-park experience. Kids are also allowed in. Just keep in mind. It is hard to get into the “Zelt”, the beer tents, so go early (opens from 10am) and bring no heavy luggages and backpacks with you (not allowed). The beers sold there are stronger than usual beer by 1-2% alcohol volume, so don’t pace too much for the best experience! #bucketlistreboot #beertrip
