Nagoya Men's Favorite Soba Restaurant.

Dinner on the first day was at a soba restaurant near an exit of the Nagoya Marriott Hotel. The exterior of the restaurant looked like a friendly little shop, which really caught my dad's eye. A bowl of soba here costs around 600 yen, and you can get a free large serving, no wonder most of the customers are men. From the time we entered until we finished eating, my mom and I were the only female customers in the entire restaurant, except for one girl working there; all the other customers were men. Since we didn't really know what to order, we got a bowl of noodles and a rice dish to share, and it was really filling! The 850 yen 'Large Kakiage Soba Half Curry Set' — Dad said his soba had onion tempura on top, and the curry rice had no meat, so he ate vegetarian that night. He also mentioned that the curry was very spicy. After returning to the hotel and checking online, we found out that this curry won an award in 2022 and is Indian curry, not Japanese curry, which explains the spiciness. Mom ordered the 850 yen 'Monthly Special Soba Hitsumabushi Don Half Tanuki Soba Set,' which is a monthly limited flavor, soba with a mini eel rice bowl. Mom said the eel was a bit salty. I had the 600 yen 'Mini Negitoro Don Half Tanuki Soba Set,' which is a bowl of soba with a mini green onion tuna bowl. For someone like me who lacks sleep, this portion was really substantial.
