This lovely Kannon temple is located right near one of the entrances of the Osu Kannon shopping district where there are also lots of small restaurants and eateries all around so worth a visit because of it's location. The temple is quite grand with it's steps leading up to the main temple building and lots of banners hanging all around the entrance. In front there is the main gate building and a relatively small area with trees and statues and lots of pigeons. We came to visit Nagoya’s famous buddhist temple. Aside from taking some picture, ended up to near shopping street like Dotonbori of Osaka and has lots of store and restaurants. It even has two Khomeyo stores. Over all it was hitting two birds with one stone. #givethanks #givethanks

Legoland Japan Resort

This is our second time here, and we had a great time. The place is clean, well organised, the rides are good and well maintained. There are plenty of playgrounds for the kids, and all facilities are well maintained. Many of the rides are interactive in nature, which makes it interesting. Our favourite rides are the Coast Guard HQ where you drive your own boat, Splash Battle where you shoot water cannons at people around you, and the small roller coaster - Dragon's apprentice. Overall, the rides and activities would suit primary school kids and toddlers. Staff are helpful and service is great. This park is much smaller than other major theme parks, but we enjoyed it much more due to less crowds, and much shorter queueing time. The downside is that some rides are not open every day, and some rides are only open for part of the day. Also note that the theme park is not open everyday of the year, therefore, you should check the website before making plans. Food is rather expensive in the theme park, but we were very pleased with the allergy awareness, and there are charts indicating the allergens each of the items. There is an adjacent shopping and restaurant area, outside of Legoland, which includes a bakery, pizza shop, grilled eel, and noodle shops. Oveall it was a good experience. #givethanks #givethanks

Noritake Garden

We happened upon the Noritake site on our way to another tourist site and thought it might be worth a look. We are so glad we did. We visited the Craft Centre first with our teen/preteen daughters and we all found the displays very interesting as they took us through the whole process of creating fine objects. There were Japanese and English written explanations of everything and multi-lingual video presentations as well. We were also able to watch craftspeople carrying out the various stages. We really had an appreciation for the skill and time that goes into creating Noritake bone by the end of the display. For an additional cost, you are also able to paint your own piece (several options including plate, mug, figurines). The plate display which showed designs of plates in chronological order was particularly impressive. There is also a large shop, cafe and restaurant on the site, housed in renovated brick industrial buildings, and large garden areas which are a relaxing spot to sit. Well worth a visit. #givethanks #givethanks

Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology

We arrived at Nagoya station at around 2 pm, directly go to Toyota commemorative museum. We took a city bus from the bus center inside the station. Only 1 or 2 stops, and then walk for about 3-5 minutes from the station. Inside, we need to pay for admission fee ¥500/ person and they got FREE coin lockers 😀 You need to put ¥100 to use it, but you will get your coin back. The museum itself was very interesting and give lots of information about Toyota and their history also about the machines they build. They have a guided tour (certain time) and audio translator but you need to pay extra. Overall it was a unique and interesting experience 😁 You should visit when coming to Nagoya. Oh and they have like a small game stations after you exit the museum. And it’s free too.. just show your ticket to the officers. #givethanks #givethanks

Hisaya Odori Park

I would call this a simple area, like a staging area for activities and events. It is definitely in the center of the city, just a few stops from Nagoya Station, Hisaya Odori Station is named after the park. Normally, this park would seem open and more empty, for strolling and going down underground in the basement level to see the food and shops. This underground connects with the Oasis 21 area, which is a quick detour to visit. There is a Don Quijote (and even Book Off, Off House and Hobby Off) nearby. I would recommend the Book Off Bazaar for real connoisseurs of used and second-hand items, the product they offer really gives a taste of Nagoya styles, fashion and interests. This is a great central park, and a staging area if you're visiting the Harbor, or Zoo, heading in different directions. And hopefully, the food and game vendors are there often, because it adds a sense of charm and history to the park along with all the other celebrations going on at the same time. #givethanks #givethanks

Port Of Nagoya Public Aquarium

This is a very fantastic aquarium. There many fishes and water animals. White Dolphin Beluga, Killer Whales, Turtles and many beautiful jellyfishes. You can go for walking, couples, families and friends. The aquarium was just like an amusement park. You can enjoy with anybody. Everything was so beautiful and you can enjoy the time a lot there. Stuffs were very nice and kind. Its really great to go there especially on rainy day. The highlight of the aquarium is the shows, both indoor and outdoor. The Sardine Tornado is quite a unique, it dances with light and sound. The second best is the Beluga Show which I've never seen in any other aquarium before. For the Orca and Dolphin show is similar to others aquarium. If you want to experience them all, you need to organize the time and the routing inside the building well. All Nagoya residences are proud of this aquarium for sure!! #givethanks #givethanks
