Uprising Memorial Tower.

The August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower is located at the south end of August 1st Square, Dinggong Road Street, Xihu District, Nanchang City. It was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the August 1st Uprising. The August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower is a landmark building of August 1st Square. The tower is rectangular and consists of a tower base, a tower seat, a tower body, and a tower top. The front of the tower seat is engraved with the inscription "Introduction to the August 1st Nanchang Uprising", and there is a relief of the armed uprising on the east, south, and west sides. The front of the tower body is the large gilded copper characters "August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower". The top of the tower is composed of a giant upright "Hanyang Made" rifle and an August 1st military flag. The completion of the August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower expresses the billions of people's eternal memory of the great achievements of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries such as Chairman Mao, Premier Zhou, and Chairman Zhu in creating and cultivating the People's Liberation Army, and encourages the Chinese people to carry out a new Long March.
