✅In recent years, Nanjing has been focusing on building a scenic avenue on the south bank of the Yangtze River - Yongji Avenue. This avenue roughly runs from Shangyuanmen to Yanziji. ✅This avenue is part of the Nanjing Marathon course in recent years. One side of Yongji Avenue is Mufu Mountain, which is known as the Muyan Riverside Scenic Area together with Yanziji, the "First Promontory of the Yangtze River." 🌿The ecological environment here was not very good in previous years, but it was actually a place of interest in Nanjing's history. Six of the "48 Scenic Spots of Jinling" were located here, namely Yanzi Sunset, Yongji River, Dharma Cave, Mufu Mountain, Hualong Land, and Jiashan Sutra. ✅Nanjing Yanziji is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River. The pointed mountain head protrudes into the river like a swallow spreading its wings to fly. It has been known as the "First Promontory of the Yangtze River" since ancient times, and is known as one of the "Three Promontories of the Yangtze River" together with Chenglingji in Yueyang and Caishiji in Ma'anshan. ✅Yanziji has left many historical sites, such as the "Yanziji" stone tablet inscribed by Emperor Qianlong, the "Think About It, You Can't Die" admonition tablet by Tao Xingzhi, the "Drunken Stone" by Li Bai, the cliff carvings, the Sunset Tower, and the Guanlan Pavilion. ✅Not far from Yanziji, a Yanziji Riverside Park has been built, which starts from Yanziji Park in the west and ends at the Bagua Island Yangtze River Bridge in the east. It is a comprehensive open park mainly for leisure and entertainment and riverside wetland sightseeing. 🌟Highlights: The finish line of the 2024 Nanjing Marathon is also set here.
