For a complete guide to eating, drinking, playing, and deer-spotting in Nara, look no further

Finally, I have some free time to organize the travel guide for my trip to Kansai, Japan. The trip lasted 13 days, spanning from Kurashiki in Okayama Prefecture to Shirahama in Wakayama Prefecture, and the richness of the experience was even shocking to me when I looked back on it🤣 Today, I mainly want to share tips about eating, drinking, playing, and deer-spotting in Nara🦌. ① Getting from Osaka to Nara The cheapest way: Navigate to JR Nara Station, The most convenient way: Navigate to Kintetsu Nara Station ② The biggest shopping street in Nara is Sanjo-dori, which connects JR Nara Station to Nara Park. It's highly recommended to choose accommodation near this street! ③ If you don't have a specific restaurant in mind, you can navigate to Nara City Higashimuki Shopping Street, which is filled with restaurants and dessert shops. Take your time to stroll and choose. Most places are moderately priced, and the few I've tried were quite good. ④ Free luggage storage: Navigate to Nara Prefecture Tourist Exchange Center & Accommodation Center ⑤ For deer watching, try to go in the morning when the deer are full of energy. In the afternoon, they tend to be aloof after eating😂. Feed them little by little, so you can enjoy the experience longer. ⑥ Nara Park is a vast place. For a more precise location to see deer, navigate to the Nara National Museum. The large grass field and big house in the background make for great photos. ⑦ The popular Shizuka Kamameshi rice dish is worth trying. It's located right across from the park, but you might have to wait for a seat, especially when it's busy, and queue outside in the cold. Kamameshi is a light and delicate version of clay pot rice, suitable for those who prefer a lighter taste. I recommend the 'Nara Seven Kinds Kamameshi Spring Limited Edition,' which includes two large oysters, very satisfying😋 ⑧ If you like tempura or udon, try 📍 Kamaiki. The shrimp tempura and chicken tempura udon are excellent, with thin batter, tender meat, and juicy sauce. The noodles are chewy, and the broth is a diluted version of the tempura radish mash sauce, very authentic and satisfying. This place also accepts Alipay. ⑨ 📍 Oshaberina Kame - Their cheese baked rice is delicious, not too sweet or cloying. The omelet rice is just average. They also support Alipay. ⑩ 📍 Yamato Tea Daifuku Specialty Store GRAN CHA Their signature matcha daifuku is average. I chose the recommended medium sweetness, but it was still too sweet. The matcha is good, with a lingering aftertaste. The stringy chestnut paste is quite nice😄. The biggest pitfall is that each person must order a set meal to dine in, and the portions are not small... Not for those who don't like sweets. 👉 Overall, Nara is a small and cozy city, very close to Osaka. If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of Osaka, consider spending a day here for a super healing and intimate encounter with the deer~
