The Beauty of Taiwan's North Coast

Taiwan's North Coast Travelogue Taiwan's North Coast is renowned for its magnificent sea views and unique geological wonders, making it an excellent place to relax and enjoy nature. For this trip to the North Coast, we chose to start from Keelung and explore along the coastline, experiencing this beautiful land firsthand. Our journey began at the fishing port of Keelung. In the early morning, fishing boats bobbed with the waves, and the port was filled with the salty scent of the sea breeze. After tasting the famous snacks at Keelung Miaokou Night Market, we set off for the North Coast with full spirits. Our first stop was the famous Jiufen Old Street. Jiufen boasts charming mountain town scenery, and the old street was bustling with tourists. Walking on the cobblestone road, the shops on both sides sold unique local crafts and delicacies, making it a feast for the eyes. We especially tried the local taro balls and grass cakes, which were sweet but not greasy, leaving us enchanted. Leaving Jiufen, our next stop was the Jinshan Coast. Jinshan's beach is vast, with gentle waves lapping the shore, bringing joy to our hearts. We strolled along the beach, enjoying the sunshine and the gentle sea breeze. Many tourists were playing on the beach, and families with children were building sandcastles, with happy laughter filling the air. We then found a seaside restaurant and ordered a fresh seafood platter paired with locally brewed beer, leaving a lingering taste. Next, we arrived at Yehliu Geopark. The rock formations here are bizarre and unique, with the most famous being the Queen's Head. Standing by the sea, admiring these naturally formed artworks, one can't help but marvel at the craftsmanship of nature. We also watched the spectacular scene of waves crashing against the rocks, with the ebb and flow of the tides seemingly whispering the sea's secrets. After the tour, we walked along the coastline, enjoying the enchanting sea view under the sunset, filling our hearts with tranquility and emotion. Our evening itinerary brought us to Tamsui. As the sunset reflected on the Tamsui River, the colors changed rapidly, creating a breathtaking view. We strolled along the riverbank, passing by many ancient buildings, with the traces of history whispering softly in our ears. The vendors along the river enthusiastically greeted tourists, selling handicrafts and snacks. We tasted the famous Tamsui Ah Gei and fish crisps, simple yet filled with happiness. Although the day's tour ended, the scenery and food of the North Coast left a deep impression on our hearts. The grandeur of nature and the warmth of the people made me deeply attached to this land. Whether it's the leisurely beach or the charming mountain town, the North Coast brings different surprises and emotions. I look forward to stepping on this beautiful coast again next time to continue exploring its endless charm.
