A Journey Through Faith and Romance in Tamsui

Day 1: Tranquil Tamsui Chapel In the morning, I took the MRT to Tamsui, greeted by the sea breeze as I arrived at Tamsui Chapel. This century-old church is hidden in a small alley, with its simple design of red bricks and white walls revealing the traces of time. Stepping inside, sunlight streams through the stained glass, casting colorful shadows, and the serene atmosphere makes one hold their breath. The sound of the pipe organ gently fills the chapel, as if narrating the history and cultural sentiments of Tamsui. In the afternoon, I enjoyed the local specialty 'Tamsui A-Gei' at a nearby café, then strolled along the riverbank, watching the sunset gradually paint the sky red. Day 2: The Natural Scenery Where Mountains and Sea Meet Early in the morning, I visited Fort San Domingo, feeling the stories of ancient architecture and colonial history. Then, I took a boat to Fisherman's Wharf, feeling the gentle sea breeze and gazing at Guanyin Mountain across the water. For lunch, I chose a small riverside shop on the old street, savoring fresh seafood dishes. In the afternoon, I climbed the Lover's Tower, overlooking the Tamsui River and the vast sea, filled with awe and emotion for nature. These two days of travel not only allowed me to appreciate the depth of faith but also found long-lost tranquility and romance in the embrace of mountains and sea.
