The first image is taken with an iPhone using a long exposure, while the second is a casual phone shot. In reality, the glow is much more abundant than in the photos. The staff member, Pete, was incredibly patient, explaining the habits of these glowing creatures throughout the tour. He showed us the larvae, pupae, and adult stages of the glowworms. When we had trouble understanding, he would slow down and simplify his explanations. Today, we were the only group, and Pete took us back and forth through the cave 4-5 times, taking photos for us and patiently waiting while we took pictures and videos. He constantly asked if we wanted to stay longer to enjoy the view. Booking: It is recommended to book in advance via email. During daylight saving time, they only respond to emails on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Payment is required in advance, and their service is exceptional, truly worth it. In contrast, the famous Waitomo Caves tour was less enjoyable. We were not allowed to speak, had to remain silent, and photography was prohibited.
