The historic district of Ningbo has finally become popular, turning into a prime spot for plum blossom appreciation

Ningbo's urban area has a prime location for enjoying plum blossoms, which is Lianqiao Di. It is divided into two parts: one is a newly built residential complex, and the other is a historic and cultural district. The recommended spot for plum blossom appreciation by tourists is located within this historic and cultural district. There are roughly three spots for plum blossom viewing in Lianqiao Di, concentrated next to the alley by the old site of Ri Lake, beside the ancient well, and in the alley of Tower Shadow. Among them, the plum blossoms next to the ancient well bloom most brilliantly and have the earliest flowering period. When the plum blossoms in other parts of Ningbo are still in buds, those here are already in full bloom. By the time you see plum blossoms blooming elsewhere and think of coming here for appreciation, they have mostly withered, leaving only bare branches and a few scattered flowers. The plum blossoms in the alley by the old site of Ri Lake are enclosed by a wall, with a round gate on it, a half-pavilion inside the gate, and plum and plum blossoms on either side, half pink and half white. The plum blossoms stretch out diagonally from the top of the wall, across the alley. Standing on the square in front of the old site of Ri Lake and looking north, the end of the alley aligns perfectly with the spire of Tianfeng Tower, creating a beautiful scene of plum blossoms against the ancient tower, making it an excellent spot for photography. In the alley of Tower Shadow, there are several plum trees, but the most beautiful one is to the right of the door of 'Chengyi Residence,' with magnolia flowers on the left. Both bloom at the same time, with petals one pink and one white, set against the backdrop of green bricks, black tiles, and stone-carved windows and doors, exuding an ancient charm and also making it an excellent spot for photography. Lianqiao Di is located right next to the Broadcasting Group, opposite the City God Temple, with the entrance to the parking garage next to the Broadcasting Group. ✅ Nearby attractions include the City God Temple, Moon Lake, and the Tu Youyou Memorial Hall, which can all be visited together.
