Lugu Lake is located between Liangshan in Sichuan Province and Ninglang County in Lijiang, Yunnan Province, China. It is a cross-province gem. Best places to appreciate Lugu Lake: Due to the angle and lighting, the Sichuan side of Lugu Lake is more beautiful than the Yunnan side. The best viewing spot in Sichuan is at the Luowa North Pier, without a doubt. However, since it is not on the ring road around the lake but at the end of a side road in Caohai, there are few tourists. The inns here have poor conditions but are cheap. There is a viewing pavilion on the left hill and a viewing boardwalk on the right. The most beautiful viewing spot of Lugu Lake is also the quietest and most convenient place to enjoy the view.
