Blue Sky and Sea OARAI ⛩🌊

The shrine is on a hill near the coast of Oarai town. There are three torii gates on approach to the shrine. One of the torii gates stands on the rugged coastline facing the ocean while waves crash around the gate. The name of this gate is Kamiiso-no-Torii, and represents the place where the gods landed. This shrine is also famous among fans of the anime series "Girls und Panzer”. Many ema prayer plaques at the shrine feature illustrations of the characters from the anime drawn by visiting fans. Entrance gate 1 : Oarai Isosaki Shrine Entrance gate 2 : Kamiiso no Torii Decent shrine with homage to the anime. It has 2 entrances with one facing the sea. You can either walk up the driveway or climb up the stairs from the torii gate by the sea.
