Best Hill Town in Italy

Orvieto was my last stop on the Umbria itinerary. After this I was to head to Rome. And luckily for me having somewhat exhausted myself. I was in need of a slow paced destination, preferably less people and more value. Also, from the previous night in the hostel, someone told me about a dish that mixed wine with chicken and is a speciality in Orvieto. I'm a fan of dishes where alcohol makes its way into the food. I was already excited about visiting this place. Orvieto is divided into two parts. The old town and the new. When i arrived at the train station. I was told this was the new town and I made my way to the old town to check into my hostel. That walk alone felt like i was already sightseeing in this authentic hill town. The daytime seems fairly busy. And since I began at the train station. Naturally I could see plenty of tourists around. The evenings were way quieter. The following day was very eventful as i saw some of the best things in Orvieto. The likes of the the National archeological museum, the cathedral, Palazzo del popolo, the museum of Claudio, St. patricks well and Torre del moro. You are likely to discover many other places that i might have missed. But my top recommendation and personal favourite is the underground city.
