Oshino Hakkai

#voyagevibes Among the many springs sourced by the underground water of Mt. Fuji, the eight ponds that have a deep relationship with the belief in Mt. Fuji are collectively called Oshino Hakkai. There is a legend that each of the eight ponds was named, and it is said that each of them gathered faith as a separate sacred water. It became a national natural monument in 1934 from the perspective of "shape, water quality, water volume, conservation status, landscape, Buddhist thought (Fuji faith), etc." In 1985, it was registered as one hundred famous waters, in 1994, in 1994, it was registered as a constituent asset of Mt.
