BEAUTIFUL ARCHITECTURE OF CHETAWAN BUDDHIST TEMPLE

Chetawan Buddhist Temple is regarded as one of the most remarkable Thai temple in Malaysia. It is located at the heart of Petaling Jaya under the Selangor state. The temple is already 71 years old (built in 1957), and was officiated by the King of Thailand at that time, the late King Bhumibol Adulyadei. Even though I have been here numerous time, I am still awed by its beautiful architecture and craftsmanship. Chetawan Buddhist Temple is very popular among the Buddhism followers of all race and age. But I noticed that it has begun to gain popularity among the younger generation nowadays. The main prayer hall houses several statues of Buddha while in the pavilion features the Four Faces God, Phra Phrom and Bodhisattva of Compassion, Guanyin. It is believed that many has their wishes and prayers answered and granted here. Chetawan Buddhist Temple opens everyday from 8.30am to 5pm, however on some special Buddhism occasions, the timing might differs. The visitors are quite manageable on normal days, so if you would like to have some peaceful and quiet moment, do avoid the special occasions.
