#winhkflight Morodok Techo National Sport Complex, the new 60,000-capacity national stadium in Phnom Penh, will serve as the main venue. It was constructed specifically for the 2023 SEA Games by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, with over $150 million financing entirely from the Chinese government. The sailing ship design was inspired by Chinese voyages to Cambodia in ancient times, and the two 99 m high "prow" structures to represent Sampeah, a Khmer gesture to greet or show respect. The facility is surrounded by an Angkor-style moat and decorations based on Rumduol flower, the national flower of Cambodia. Tho it’s far from city center, they are building a whole new area and park around here. Can pay a visit if you have time. I want to travel to Hong Kong because I’ve never been to HK stadium!
