The Most Luxurious Steakhouse in Qingdao, Bar None.

No matter which platform you use to search for information about Qingdao, you will undoubtedly find that the No. 1 hotel in Qingdao is the renowned St. Regis. Since I booked my room through Amex Plat FHR, I had a USD 100 dining credit to use. Many hotels allow guests to use this dining credit for breakfast, but the St. Regis Qingdao has more restrictions, requiring the dining credit to be used at certain times in designated hotel restaurants, and The Carvery Steakhouse is one of them. When I called to make a reservation, the staff kindly reminded us to arrive early to catch the sunset, and they indeed arranged a window seat for us. Honestly, the view was unbeatable, offering a panoramic view of Qingdao's most beautiful coastline and famous landmarks, including the Badaguan Scenic Area, May Fourth Square, and the Olympic Sailing Center. The weather that evening wasn't the best, but the view from the window was still refreshing. The restaurant itself was quiet, spacious, and had a romantic ambiance. The only downside was that it wasn't facing the right direction to see the nighttime light show. As for the food, to be honest, aside from the porterhouse steak, the other dishes (like the pasta) were quite average, so I recommend ordering à la carte.
