This is my third visit to this hidden gem of a museum.

☔️ Qingdao has been hot and rainy recently, and the museum is a great place to cool off and learn something new. It's a great place to take kids, and I took my son to the Beilin Museum for the third time this weekend. There were very few people, which was great for me. 🏠 The museum is divided into three floors. 1⃣️ The first floor is the Animal Home, which is centered around the "Tree of Life". Rare animals from the seven continents and four oceans of the world gather here. With the help of large semi-scenic paintings and projections, the cruel and pure side of nature is faithfully presented. The thrilling hunting process and the cruel law of "survival of the fittest" in nature deeply shock us. 2⃣️ The second floor is "I Come from the Ocean". The Tree of Life is full of mystery. Step into this tree and marvel at the greatness of life. The second floor is home to a variety of marine animals, from great white sharks to manta rays to penguins to jellyfish to various types of seaweed... Not only are there a variety of marine animals, but you can also have a thrilling chase with a great white shark. 3⃣️ The third floor is "Under the Dome". Who is the king of speed? The sensory sand table, moving animal oil paintings, and animal face-changing are all worth experiencing. Children can learn a lot about nature while playing. 🚗 The free parking lot is small but super convenient. The exhibition hall stairs are just a few steps away from the car. The museum is also accessible by subway line 2 (Taishan Road Station, Exit D) and buses 4, 205, 212, and 604 (Shaonian Gong Station). ⌚️🕙 The museum is closed on Mondays. Visiting hours are from 9:30 to 17:30. ⛰️⛰️ The Chushui Mountain Children's Park is nearby. You can go there to climb the mountain and experience the incredibly long staircase. It's very exciting, but also very tiring for moms.
